The Lindy Hop, Balboa, Blues, and Jazz Dance Camp and New Year's Party - Dec 26, 2018 to Jan 1, 2019
Jonathan Stout (and the Lindy Focus All Star Orchestra)
MAIN DANCES. Jonathan is more than simply the bandleader that brings us five nights of unparalleled authentic big band swing music -- he's the scene's evangelist of the real deal, inspiring countless thousands of dancers and music lovers around the globe with his passion for delivering the hardest swinging dance orchestra in the business this side of the cold war. If you've been to Focus before, you know what he can deliver. If this is your first year, we welcome you to hear for yourself what can happen when a great leader gets in front of an equally great band. Jonathan Stout and his Lindy Focus All Star Orchestra will be once again paying tribute to Duke Ellington, Artie Shaw, Chick Webb, and, for the first time ever, a full night featuring the music of Jimmie Lunceford. Prepare yourselves for an epic year!
MAIN DANCE SCHEDULE: 12/27 - Tribute to Duke Ellington 12/28 - Tribute to Artie Shaw 12/29 - Tribute to Jimmie Lunceford 12/30 - Tribute to Chick Webb 12/31 - Free-for-all New Year’s Party
